Christmas can be heavy for some families.

When your child does not understand the day, does not feel the build up, the excitement, the sparkle people talk about. No lists. No countdown. No magic in the way the world expects it to look.
And that can hurt.

Today might feel quieter. Different. Maybe even lonely. But in our home, and in many homes like ours, something else exists. A bond built through relentless love, protection, patience, and showing up again and again.

We are each other’s greatest gifts.

Not wrapped. Not bought. Not measured by smiles or photos. Measured by trust, safety, and the unbreakable connection that only comes from walking this path together.

To every parent, carer, and family navigating a different kind of Christmas, you are seen. You are not doing it wrong. You are doing it with courage.

Our mission is all about inclusion, so here’s a reminder... not all costumes have to be spooky, not all celebrations have to be loud, and not everyone experiences Halloween the same way.

Today we received these brilliant photos of staff from Bolton Council proudly wearing our communication clothing as their new and improved uniform. These amazing staff members are part of Bolton Council’s Play & Youth Bolton, running the Play is for All specialist setting for children and young people aged 4 to 19 with special educational needs and disabilities.

Everyone at IB Adaptive Clothing is beyond proud to have been chosen to supply these uniforms, making communication easier and more accessible for the children and young people who attend Play is for All. It means everything to see our designs being worn and used for exactly what they were made for — making a difference in people’s lives.

We’re incredibly grateful to Bolton Council for supporting a Bolton-based business and prioritising inclusive, functional design in their services for young people. 💙

This isn’t just a hoodie – it’s a tool for inclusion.
👕 Fully customised with non-verbal communication in mind, the new uniform features:

✔️ Flat-colour symbols with bold black outlines
✔️ Functional DTF sleeve layout for clear pointing
