When I first stepped into the gym, I was terrified. I’d never been before, and all I could think about was:

“Everyone’s staring at me.”
“Do I look like I don’t belong?”
“What if I mess up?”

But you know what I’ve learned? No one is looking. Seriously.

Most people are too busy focusing on their own sets, writing down their logs, and chasing their own goals. Everyone in that gym walked through the doors for the same reason- to better themselves. And you belong there just as much as anyone else. 💪

If I could go back and tell my newbie self one thing, it’d be this: Walk in with confidence, hold your head high, and focus on YOU.

Starting something new is always daunting, but trust me, the gym isn’t as intimidating as it seems. Everyone is there to better themselves, and that includes you.

What do you wish you knew when you first started your fitness journey?

Only 8 weeks ago you were saying you are going to do 10,000 steps each day, workout 3 times a week, and stop having takeaways…

Fast forward to now and your barely getting in 5,000 steps a day, you haven't been to the gym in days and and your already on your second takeaway of the week. 🙈

Don't worry! You still have 10 months of the year left, and it’s completely normal to feel like you want to give up by the time February rolls around. 😅

The fresh energy of New Year’s resolutions might fade, and suddenly, staying motivated becomes harder. But here's the thing: consistency over perfection is what truly counts. ✨

Even on days when you’re not feeling it, showing up is half the battle. Set small, sustainable goals, and remember, progress isn’t always linear.

And hey, putting on your favourite gymwear can make all the difference! When you feel confident and comfortable in your clothes, getting that workout in becomes so much easier.

Keep going- you’re doing amazing. 💪
