I'm a contemporary indie fibre artist and Creative Director of Freda Moss Designs. My Gran (Freda) taught me to knit as a child. I have so many happy memories of summer holidays in Cornwall, sitting together and creating woolly delights. The 70's tea cosy, the never-ending scarves, the latest 80's knitted trouser suit for Barbie.

This is my Gran, Freda, on her wedding day. She would have been 100 years old today. She taught me to knit, and so much more: about being kind, calm, loving and she always made me laugh when she’d had one sip of wine and almost immediately it would go to her eyes and she’d want to shut them! She’s the namesake of my little business and I miss her very much. Here’s to you Gran, happy birthday 💖

This week has been a good one! I’ve had my first custom order of my Stratus handbag. You can find the details of the bag in my Etsy shop. I’ve had a few lovely discussions with my customer, who is trying to match the colour with a pair of shoes she has. They are a soft buttery yellow and we found this Daisy colour from which I really hope matches! It looks promising! Such a beautiful colour!!! So it’s full steam ahead to get the order complete and shipped to Texas, USA as soon as possible!!! 🤩

Ta da!!!!! Took the liberty of adding a cheeky pompom. I only have one problem. I have a massive head and this beautiful hat doesn’t fit me. It’s because of my enormous brain 🧠 you see 🙈😂. I’m now using afore mentioned brain to think of a way of extending the brim so that I can wear it! Ideas gratefully received 😘
