I have made a few items this year, but the main one was my dress and James' tailcoat. I did then whip up a jumper dress, as well as a blouse and corset cover thing to go with it!

Hope everyone has had a decent year, and hopefully I'll be posting more adventures next year.

Looking back on 2022 and I had quite a few big projects, and also lost my sewjo.

1. New bumpads and breast pads for the

7. 3 house dresses which are so comfy and I now live in them!

I don't really have concrete plans for 2023, just continue to sew for me and champion Preloved materials.

'Captain to Voyager

Away mission to was a success.

One to beam up'

This cape is inspired by the Star Trek from the TNG/Voyager/DS9 era. IMHO it is such an underrated uniform, with it's simple lines and touches of gold. I included arm holes because I cycle a lot.

I used a red with some stretch for the body (£20, ), and black wool remnants from a previous project. The gold braid was some vintage trim from eBay and buttons from my (4 because obviously I would be ). The lining is a finer wool. I should hopefully have a pattern available in the future. It took me about 2 days to make, but would probably be a little quicker without the .

I love these so much I made 3 (one is a wearable mockup)! They're perfect for wafting round the house, and if I need to pop out I can cinch them in with one on the pointed belts from .

Once I figured out the best way to put them together they each took around 2 days to make.

The cream floral fabric was an absolute steal at £20 for just shy of 5m of lightweight cotton. ftw!

The green and purple dress was slightly more expensive. The purple brushed cotton was £15 for 3m, and the green cotton was , I think, £20 from
