Sommières clay and grape seed oil, pressed into a compact little bar that lives quietly on the laundry shelf.

Rub it onto grease, red wine, coffee, or fruit before the stain has time to settle in, and it lifts the mark right out of the fibres.

No spray bottles. No plastic trigger. No synthetic fragrance drifting through the utility room. Just a solid stick of clay and oil, wrapped in paper, small enough to tuck into a weekend bag.

Seed packet, terracotta pot, a handful of hope. This is where a kitchen garden starts.

Our Herb Garden Seed Kit has been sitting pretty on the shelf by the window, catching the afternoon light.

Everything you need to get growing, tucked into one little box: seeds, a terracotta pot, and proper tools to see it through.

We chose it for the natural materials as much as the seeds. Terracotta that breathes, wood that ages well, bristle brushes for tidying up after.

Something that starts on a windowsill and ends up on the kitchen table. That's the whole point of it.

The French Kitchen Lemon Soap by Maître Savonitto is handmade in Marseille and wrapped in plain brown paper. The sort of honest, unfussy bar that belongs beside a well-used sink.

It's made for the moments after you've chopped garlic or filleted fish, when ordinary soap just won't quite do the job. A good scrub, a bright citrus lift, and your hands feel like your own again.

Alpaca socks are still a firm favourite. 🧦

British alpaca socks, sat in the basket by the door in blue, teal and beige.

Softer than you'd expect, and warm enough for a proper Bristol autumn.

The ribbed cuff stays put, the weave is lovely and dense, and they just feel like the sort of thing you'll reach for every day.

Pop in and have a feel, they're the sort of socks you have to touch to understand.

Most people think natural brushes wear out faster than plastic ones.

Turns out it's the other way round.

Natural fibres like tampico, sisal, and horsehair have been used in cleaning tools for generations, and there's a good reason for that. They're dense, resilient, and they resist splaying in a way plastic just doesn't.

Plastic brushes tend to shed and warp over time. A well-made natural brush, dried properly after each use, routinely outlasts them.

So the cheaper option isn't always the one that lasts. 🌿

No two olive wood boards are the same. The swirling grain, the natural edges, the way it warms up under indoor light: that's the tree, not a factory pattern.

Behind them, a glossy brown-and-cream ceramic pitcher. Cool and heavy where the wood is warm and alive.

Our little shop lives inside a repurposed shipping container at Willway Yard, Bedminster, BS3, tucked around the corner from Windmill Hill City Farm.
