A little behind the scenes of a sewing day.

Starting with coffee from , then back home to choose fabrics, cut patterns, and stamp every piece with its logo, size & fabric details.

Then the sewing begins — each piece carefully constructed, hemmed, and topstitched before the final reveal… a lovely pile of finished pieces ready for their new homes.

Hello you lovely lot.

I’ve noticed some new faces around here recently, so I thought it was time I reintroduced myself… and what better way than with a walk through the bluebell woods in the gorgeous spring sunshine.

Hi, I’m Em, the maker behind Handmade by Em. I create handmade, thoughtfully designed clothes for little ones. Pieces made for exploring, playing, and making memories in.

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately, taking some time to slow down, reset, and find inspiration again. Days like today, seeing my clothes out in the wild, whilst wandering through the woods surrounded by bluebells remind me exactly why I love what I do.

The outfit in these photos is one of my handmade sets: a playful dinosaur t-shirt paired with comfy blue shorts, perfect for adventures big and small.

It's and as part of the initiative, I thought I'd combine that with a quick intro post to those people who have found me over the past couple of months.

I'm Em, the face behind Handmade by Em. I'm a strong believer in dressing in whatever makes you happy, and that goes for you and your little ones. So I make clothes for everyone in lots of fun prints, as well as some more subtle ones for when you don't want to look like you've walked into a rainbow explosion 😂🙈

You can normally find me sewing, running, or reading.
