Textile Witch turns 1 today! 💗🎂
A year ago today I launched my Etsy shop and received my first order.
Despite going through a pandemic, it has been a wonderful first year.
I’m so blessed to have met such lovely customers, received such kind reviews and made yarn friends along the way. 💕 Thank you everybody for your continuing support.
Hoping to have quite an assortment of new yarn ready for the end of the month. So stay tuned! 🤗

Just a little shop update today: “Quite Riot” minis are back. So, is “Harvest Moon” 100g chunky and “Beltane” 100g sock and minis.
I’ve also dyed “Harvest Hills” 100g Chunky, and its speckle heaven 💗🧡

Couldn’t resist taking this photo while I was packing yesterday. 💕

The colours looked so beautiful all in their piles- Yarn Rainbow 🌈

I do love seeing the individual colour combinations that customers buy.

Working alone, I’m so aware of the colours that I instinctually combine.
It’s refreshing and inspiring to see other people’s choices- So, a big thank you is required 💕 your input is greatly appreciated.

Totally humbled and overwhelmed by the response to my shop update on Friday 💗 Thank you everyone who purchased from me.
Spent 3hrs organising, writing labels, packaging and packing all these weekend orders today. 🤗 All to be sent out tomorrow morning.
Best Weekend yet 💗 (p.s the skull is super clean lol)

Just a wee shop update today 🤗 February has been ❄️❄️ AF, and put back my dyeing quite a bit.
Definitely more in the next two weeks.
This is “Harvest Hills” part of a fade set coming very soon. It’s an in between of “Harvest Moon” and “Heather Hills” 🌝💜

A cross between Harvest Moon and Heather Hills, and a deeper, richer version of Beachcomber. Coming in the next few weeks. Snow isn’t very conducive to drying yarn! ❄️

Perhaps I’m a psychic painter? I never expected to actually get photos of Rowie in the Snow- we haven’t had proper Snow in over 10 years!
No trouble seeing him in the snow with “Irn Brew” aran merino snood. 🧡🤍💙

Happy Imbolc ❄️🌱

Six years ago, I left an embroidered rag out on Imbolc Eve for the Goddess Brigid to bless. It is said if you leave a rag out over night, she will make it a creative talisman.

Yesterday, I left some skeins out to drip dry and forgot about them over night. This morning they were covered in ice crystals.
I may have inadvertently had those skeins blessed! So,
I will be keeping one of those minis on my desk as a creative luck charm. 🍀

Thank you for this phenomenal order! The colours were so pretty together that I needed to photograph them all together. 💕🤗 So grateful to have such awesome and supportive regular customers. Not forgetting the others too! 💗
