I was asked to make a “big” blanket for someone who I made numerous Baby blankets for…. All the same colour as they struggle with texture and change. But this one could be in different blues….. I used create dk instead of style craft dk once I had decided to use the coastal colours from …. The pattern is an original one created by me as a teen, and I never really used it until I made it for this person over 12 years ago and I have only ever used it for them, but is is very similar to Attic24’s neat ripple if you want to make one! And the interesting bit….. I made it a little larger than single bed size and managed it in “20” days!!! 😅!!! So glad they love it!! 🥰

I’m usually happy to give myself time to enjoy my projects, but this one I decided last minute to challenge myself and give myself a deadline 🫣🤪 so far, so good I’m on track….. this is 5 days progress…. And it’s hopefully going to be a great unexpected surprise as it came about as a casual conversation 😂😂 …. Still a long way to go though 😅

Today is your final Goodbye to everyone that knew and loved you. I was shocked to hear of your passing a few weeks ago and even thought just maybe the world was playing a cruel game and it was a wind up 😔. You were one of the most determined, vivacious, sassy, fun loving people I had ever met, and your smile and laughter lit up the room wherever you went. I was the one that was fortunate to be adopted by you as your ‘Uni Mum’ and create memories that still make me laugh out loud, even now! I watched you grow in confidence and followed your journey over the years and felt so proud of you and how far you had come…. You showed the non believers how brilliant you were, even though you always doubted yourself. Sadly for us, your journey was cut short 😓…. farewell for now and keep shining bright… you will be forever in my heart and truly missed Laura 🥰😘
