Was out on the Bank this weekend and caught this OLD carp ....... 💪 💪 🐻

His words about his trip are.......

What a tough weekend it was at Whelford Pools Fishery this weekend.

After liners on Friday to nothing at all Saturday, I baited the margin up just to the right of my rod tip through the day Saturday with 12,15mm whole / crumbed TnT and KBW mixed with liquid peanut and tnt rocket fuel. I placed the rig with a 15mm TnT wafter for the night around 5pm.

Not even a beep through the night on any rod I thought i was surly in for a blank.

20 past 9 this morning my car was loaded all I had left out was rods net mat and carp care. The last of the others anglers apart from matey next swim down had just left the lake stared fizzing, was literally just talking about last minute bites to save a blank then my margin rod tore off saved a blank for me and first fish I’ve had on the bank since the first bank holiday this month. 🐻 🐻‍❄ 🧸

I didn’t weight it she was a bit batter from spawning. Doctored her up, pics and sent her on the way. Just happy to bag one 👊🏼😎

Not the chunk I was after but I’ll take it 10 mins before I had to reel it 😅 🐻

His words are.....

Turned up at the lake and to my surprise the lake was empty. Rather going in favoured spots I had a bit of a look in the swims through the 2st gate. Wasn’t long and I saw the Reed’s knocking in the margin and saw fish showing in the middle area. I placed one rod along the Reed’s where they were knocking and one off the island drop off in the middle. Both rods were fished with Goodz baits NME wafters over matching crumbed freebies and Crushed tigers. 4 fish resulting in a 11lb 12oz Fully, 24lbs 2oz mirror a 19lb 2oz mirror and a very small one that shouldn’t be in there.

4 fish from a recent session down the syndicate, biggest being 24.7lb

All falling to dna baits either the switch or the bug 🐛 doing the damage.
