I'm excited to see some new faces around here and thought I should take a second to reintroduce myself!

So my names Darwin 🤗 I've come from a family of seamstress and sewers so have been sewing since a very young age. Unlike the rest of my family I've had the chance to not only sew but create and lead a business.

I am a charity shop child and a lot of the values that I've put into the business are values that I grew up with. However as I learned more about the fashion industry, the more I understood how damaging it could really be.

Like every gen-z/millennial I wanted to make a change and that's how Reclaimed DNA was born a chance to put forward my perspective of what a future fashion industry could look like without harming the planet or the people on it!

A Sneak peak of one of my favourite pairs from the new collection 😍

🖌The pattern down the side was done by hand bleaching the fabric to produce this high contrast print.

I've had such a hard time pricing my items because I want sustainable fashion to be accessible to as many people as possible. However It's not sustainable if I can't afford my rent 😅 and I don't want to pay anyone who works for me less than a living wage. For my new collection I've had to be more realistic with my pricing but I'm determined to keep some pieces below £40 so everyone can be a Reclaimer if they want.

I hope to produce pieces that you'll love enough they are worth having one less coffee for the month! We've all got way to used to clothes costing nothing. All this results in is us treating them like nothing and throwing them away after one or two wears.

We at Reclaimed DNA have focused on ensuring that the quality of our clothes are made to last as long as you treat and show them the love they deserve 💚

Positive Affirmations are something I have recently gained interest in and I now start everyday with a positive affirmation playlist in the morning.

Running a business is hard, going to a job is hard even just waking up in the morning. Sometimes we can be hard on ourselves so say this little phrase out loud and remember you're doing great just keep going!!!
