Hello! It's been a long while since I've been active here and the reason for that is because I've even having a think about what I would like prickle and stitch to be moving forward...

Through lockdown prickle and stitch was a bit of sanity and focus when everything else seemed so up in the air, but as 'real life' gradually came back to normal I found that that took priority for a while.

But now I feel ready to come back and am so excited!!! But with a few changes to what my little business is going to be... ☀️

For a while I have been pondering on the idea of making bespoke quilted patchwork jackets and have sooo many ideas for what these could become and for different styles! This feels like the right choice because of how much my designs will lend themselves to using remnants, offcuts and second hand materials which means I can hopefully keep any waste down to a miminum and have a lot of fun sourcing fabrics!

Sustainability is still so important to me so prickle and stitch is going to remain a slow fashion and now bespoke brand too 🍃

I expect it will take a little while to get the ball rolling but I'm going to share as much as I can on here in the mean time!

Prickle and Stitch officially has its own website now!! It’s been a manic but fun week getting everything ready and I’m so excited to get going on the next chapter of my little business and to see where it takes me!
Swipe to see some photos of some of my new products! Whilst I only started making things for little people I am excited to start expanding and venturing into new product types for different people and ages! So far this has just been the addition of some sustainable self care items but there is so much more to come in the way of adult clothing and accessories so watch this space!!

This is the first of my new products! There’s actually a third print too that available as seconds for various reasons so a bit cheaper!
They are bath mitts (tried tested and loved 🥰) made from bamboo fibre towelling which is super super soft and quick to dry too! The fabric has been sourced from along with a few other new prints too which is gorgeous and is lined with I bleached cotton.. these mitts are a great combination of sustainable fabrics and small business support 💪 which is why they are my new favourite and why in so proud to be able to offer 8 of each!

I have been working so so hard this week to get a website up running and ready! Its been manic and the works not quite done yet, however I am so excited to announce that as of Saturday it will all be up and ready to go!!

I will post again on Saturday to update what time it will go live and tomorrow I will share a few of my new products and some info about them too. I'm so excited to have expanded into some self care products as well as baby and children's clothes and plan to keep going with some adult pieces on the horizon for this year too!

Pictured is one of many new products becoming available upon the launch of our very own website... "Bee Happy" tote bags as well as other designs too and more to come in the future. It has been so exciting producing some artwork for these and its definitely got me inspired to keep doing more!

Prickle and stitch is going to be at this craft fair! It’s so sad that in person craft fairs aren’t able to happen at the moment but this one should be as close to the real thing as possible over zoom so it’s really worth a look! Tickets are recommended £5 but you can also just make a donation so it’s really worth coming along as so far the lineup is looking so great! If any other small business would like to get involved too then give Leo a shout via the email on the poster and get involved! The more the merrier!

Earth Dungarees!
Still available on Etsy and only a few pairs left!
These have a new and improved adapted pattern now with hook and loop fastenings but still feature the same charming earth motif in the centre.

With loads of growing room in the rolled up hems of these dungarees, they are destined to last ages. But not only that they are so durable and well made with tonnes of care and love that even after your little one has outgrown them they can be passed onto someone else to enjoy!

Made from deadstock and upcycled fabric these dungarees are the perfect way to add some sustainability to your little ones wardrobe, or would make a lovely gift too!
