I've had the greatest honour of helping my friend, Meg, create her dream wedding dress, and veil!
She brought an ex sample dress about a year before her wedding and earlier this year we got to work meg-ifying it. Which resulted in altering the length, adding drapy tulle sleeves and most obviously adding beautiful embroidered flowers to the waist, along with a custom made hair bow with removable veil.
When we did the first fitting at her house we started by figuring out what she wanted to add to the dress so we could buy the right things and that's when Meg asked me if we could add a little dinosaur to her dress which I immediately screamed YES! And so we hid a little T-Rex in and around the flowers! 😍 As Meg loves her dinosaurs (and tbh I do too) 🦖
I also made a hair bow and veil to match her dreamy dress! I've never made a veil before but it was pretty simple I just hand gathered the tulle and added some fabric to encapsulate the raw gathered edge. Then to take it one step further I added little snaps to the veil and bow to make it removable! I really enjoyed making it and so I've brought some more tulle and intend to make some more, so if you're a future bride reading this and you love the bow/veil drop me a message as I'd love to make some more 😍
In the end I'm so thankful Meg trusted me with her dress because I knew how much this day ment to her and I'm so happy I got to help bring her vision to life❤️
