Woollyloaded.

Woollyloaded. So, I'm exploring the idea of selling various handmade crochet products and would like to use this page to recruit those willing to provide feedback/ideas!

Having had great feedback about presents/gifts I've made in the last year, I've decided to do a little market research and see if its a viable idea for a side-business, in terms of demand and pricing. I'll potentially be holding some feedback events for small groups of target audiences......this will include those with kiddies, babies and adults of all shapes and sizes......with free tea/coffee/wi

ne/cookies as incentive! Please do let me know if you'd be interested. I'll be posting events from the end of January, as I have some prototype producing to do for sampling/try-ons. Any feedback is welcome, particularly from those of you who've been on the receiving end of my crochet creations.

These little crochet heart bookmarks in a rainbow of colour were a great draw to my craft fair table last year and were one of my most popular items selling-wise! So here we are again, making some more!!
Always include some low priced, kid friendly items……where kids go, adults will follow!
All-but-one ended up with a sale of something else!! Sneaky but effective!!

Festive stitches are officially in full swing and this crochet book sleeve pattern by ✨ in christmas colours is giving ALL the wholesome handmade vibes. ✨🎄
It’s one of those patterns you finish and immediately want to make again for someone else.
If you’re building your Christmas gift list and want something meaningful and beautiful, this is such a lovely choice 🧶🤍

Yesterday I made over our old mannequin, and here she is in all her glory! Was a lovely task to immerse myself in before starting this weeks night shifts.

I removed the cover, hand washed it with combination of detergent and vanish whitener (the b***s were a bit ‘dull’ after one too many comical cuppings 😂), followed by a soak in bleach and a good old rinse. Lastly, I did a good wash with some softer to make her feel special, with another gentle rinse before hanging her out in the garden. I also had to give the poor love one of my old soft-cup bralettes,as the right b**b had taken a bit of a bashing somewhere along the line!!

This is one of my favourite tops to make, from her patterns are well designed, easy to follow and very maker friendly, do check her out (her insta feed is beautifully wistful).

Of course, the obsession continues 😂

There’s something to be grateful for amidst all the panic!
Whilst I contemplate redeployment to the ward (I’m raring to go, but worry about the effect on my hubby etc) I’ve been forced to be still and mindful of my feelings.
I’m usually the person who keeps busy, checks in on others, pops round for a cuppa etc when things get tough. I don’t often let people care for me to be honest. I don’t really enjoy it 😂
Times like these, with an outpouring of support from friends, family and the public, whether I want it or not, really makes you take stock and appreciate all you have. I’m a very lucky lady.
I’ve been mulling this over whilst completing this easy-repeat so much so, it’s finally finished!!
Hope everyone is keeping well. Thanks for being wonderful 🌈

Enjoying some downtime before the onslaught of shenanigans at work next week. I’m not looking after the unwell covid19 patients, but I am part of the efforts to keep up with ‘core work’ and maintain a quality paediatric cardiology service within our children’s hospital on the Sat Thomas’ hospital site.
9 in 1000 babies are born with a heart defect in the UK. 3 in 1000 of those require heart surgery, usually within the first two weeks of life.
This need doesn’t disappear during a pandemic.
Therefore, we work together to cover staff sickness, reassure incoming women due for induction, help deliver their gorgeous little bundles of trouble in the right place (with is!) and get them through the toughest time of their lives. During a pandemic. It won’t stop, and neither will we 🙌
Big love to all the

Most people will already know that by day I’m also known as Lou Killengray, a fetal and paediatric cardiology clinical nurse specialist, who works in central London. As you can imagine, I’m quite tied up helping my colleagues and patients navigate through this coronavirus pandemic. We are on standby to make some big changes and I could be drafted in to frontline duties in the coming weeks.
I’m providing regular short insights into my day via my Instagram, so please feel free to check in, as I will be otherwise MIA for the foreseeable future it seems!!
Stay safe, stay socially distant and be kind to one another ###

My first go at a ‘bralette’ type top for a friend of mine heading to Peru on a voyage of self discovery!!

I worked on it all eve (it’s actually nearly finished now, but will be with its new owner and flying off into the sunset before I can take pictures of it!) 😊

I have to say pattern is so incredibly easy to follow, I’m hooked and will definitely be making more. The colourway makes my heart sparkle.......from pigeon (see earlier post) to unicorn in no time!!

I reckon they’d be great for festivals/beach holidays too......what do you think?
