The cars, the community and the camaraderie between our "Wild Boars" is what sets us apart. It isn't about how fat your wallet is or how long your sc***ng is, as nobody cares.
Amigos with no ego's is where we are at. A friendly bunch of people with a passion for cars, who like to chew the fat (sometimes bacon) and swill it down with a brew.
A case in point recently, when we were visited over yonder by a stealthy looking Porsche 997, as it winged its way into the car park. The inside was equally as impressive with a full tartan themed interior by .
Mick the pilot emerges from the cockpit and was immediately one of us, joining in with the banter and showing us around his wheels. We were honoured to understand that he had travelled 3.5 hours from Gloucester to come to our humble gathering.
Having got to know Mick only recently our hearts and thoughts go out to him and his family as we hear of the loss of his Father Tony Baird at the ripe age of 91.
Like Mick, there are a few of us who are quite fragile at the moment due to the recent loss of a loved one. We find a certain amount of solace by getting behind the wheel, or in front of a fellow petrolhead to help us navigate the road ahead at our regular Cars & Coffee gatherings .
