Over the last 12 years I have sewn for everyone in the house, including a jacket for Stick Man a few years back...
It is with mixed feelings that I share that the time has come for me to wind Olive Bean up. At the start of the year I went back to work, a little unexpectedly really in that it wasn't really planned, but a perfect little opportunity came up, I applied and I got it! I can honestly say that I am loving it π₯°
I hadn't realised how much I missed being in school, being part of a team, and supporting and teaching children.
I left teaching just over 12 years ago to have Olivia, and I have loved being able to be at home with all 3 of my kids. To do the playgroups, the swimming lessons, lunches with friends, days at home, pottering, being busy, life has been so lovely and I wouldn't change a thing.
I simply felt the call to go back to work, it was time. To do something for me, to meet new people, to learn new things β€οΈ
I enjoy being busy, making the most of my "me" time, and it was from this that Olive Bean was born. I have met so many lovely people, had such gorgeous compliments, and created clothing for literally hundreds of children, which continues to be passed down and reworn. I shall not stop sewing. I shall share the odd make. But my Etsy shop will be closing at the end of April.
Thank you so much for all your support, your encouragement, your orders and your friendship. Thanks for sharing your stories when you have shared pics of your little ones in my makes. It has meant a great deal. βΊοΈβ€οΈ
All the love, Em βπΌ xox
