Chippenham Nappy Library

👋 It’s been a little while since we’ve posted… but the kits are still very much out and about! 💚

If you’ve been curious about reusable nappies but thought “I don’t think they’ll work for us”… why not give them a go?

You don’t have to commit to buying a whole stash or figure it all out yourself. Our one-month trial kits let you try a range of different styles, brands and materials, with support on fit, washing, drying and everything in between.

You might discover that they’re not for you — and that’s absolutely fine!

But you might also find that they’re much easier than you expected. 👀

What have you got to lose? 💚

Our current kits are currently out with families, but if you’d like to try one, send us a message or fill out this short form and we can add you to the waiting list for the next available kit.

☀️ Did you know? Sunshine is amazing at helping to naturally fade stains on reusable nappies! Even nappies that have seen plenty of use can come up looking brilliantly fresh after a good wash and a bit of sun.

Every kit from the library is thoroughly washed and deep cleaned before it's loaned out, so you can borrow with confidence. 💚

Reusable nappies are often thought to use lots of water, but when used as intended, their overall environmental impact is generally much lower than single-use nappies over a child's nappy years.

If you've been thinking about giving cloth nappies a try, why not borrow a kit and see what you think?

Helping our babies, pockets and the planet 💚

♻️ From 7,000 to just 20 – the nappy waste difference!

Did you know a baby will use **5,000–7,000 **nappies before potty training?

If you’re using disposables, that’s the equivalent of:
🚌 1.5–2 full double-decker buses in weight
🏡 A small bedroom filled floor-to-ceiling with nappies
🗑️ Over 200 bin bags heading to landfill

😱 And they take up to 500 years to break down!

With reusables?
✨ Just **20** nappies for your baby’s whole nappy-wearing life — and they can be reused for multiple children.

💚 Doing right by our planet, babies, and pockets

🌿 Did you know? 🌿

Modern cloth nappies aren’t just one type, there are several different styles to suit different babies and families 👶

In our kit, you’ll find:
✨ All-in-ones (easy, just like disposables)
✨ Pocket nappies (you can customise absorbency)
✨ Two-part systems (super absorbent for nights)

There’s no “one size fits all”, and that’s the beauty of it 💚

Trying a mix helps you find what works best for your baby, your routine, and your washing schedule.

Curious to give it a go? Our nappy kits let you try a range without committing 💫
