..I have several 🐚🐚🐚And not just in my bathroom. They are littered all over the house where they add texture and interest as well as a hint of the seaside. 🐚

This pretty vintage shell shadow box is housed in a beautifully decorated octagonal frame. It contains 12 different shells in a green painted grid like ‘cage’. It’s glass fronted. I has fixings on the back to allow it to be hung on the wall but it would work equally well as a shelf sitter or laid flat on a dressing or coffee table.

I’m unsure of the date but it’s vintage rather than antique. Excellent condition.

Measures: 20cm approx diameter.
Price: £35 plus UK p&p £6.99

Please DM to purchase.

Time is running away with me currently as I’m lapping up days spent with my daughter after A levels, helping her plan for her graduation party and forthcoming girls’ trip to Crete. Im sure they’ll have a blast but I’m also slightly terrified, listing all the things in my head that could possibly go wrong whilst they’re there, as only an over-anxious parent can be! 😬

So, only 10 hours late posting this magnificent set of 8, 19th Century Chinoiserie side, salad or dessert plates. They are unmarked so I’m unsure of the maker but believe they could be by Williamson & Sons of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

Still delightfully vibrant with their russet and blue hues and a bright turquoise glaze overlay. Superb examples of mid Victorian transfer ware and very attractive on a summer, or year round, table. Excellent condition.

Price for the set of 8: £69 plus UK p&p £8.99

Please DM to purchase (and tell me not to be so worried about my daughter’s trip!!)

Hello there 👋 Time for the bi~annual reintroduction. I’m now 5 years into this little antiques business of mine although my love for vintage has been life long. I previously worked in PR, marketing and content creation which I enjoyed hugely but plunged into making my hobby a business during Covid. I’ve never looked back ♥️

Things I love about my job:
🔍sourcing fabulous antiques. The thrill of the hunt is everything!
🏷️ researching the pieces I find. It plays to my love of history
📷 photographing the treasures. I’d love to do a course when I have more time.
🗣️chatting to customers, finding out more about them and sourcing to order. For me, instagram is all about connections, not just sales.

A few more vaguely interesting facts:
🎱I once played snooker with Simon Le Bon (I doubt he remembers it!😆)
👩🏼‍🎓I studied English at university with supplementary West African Studies
📚Apart from antiquing, I love to cook, read and go to exhibitions. I also love a quiz!
🦈I’m terrified of sharks which means I rarely swim in the sea despite my love for the seaside.
🕷️I also can’t abide spiders 😬
🖥️ I’ve been working on my website for three years. This is the year it goes live!! 🤔

That first photo above was taken in Cornwall where the light is so much more flattering than in London! 😉

Anything else you’d like to know, just ask!

Love, for now, Dx

Home from a weekend sourcing in Suffolk. If you’d like to see my finds, take a look at my latest reel. I just have to photograph the antique treasures I found before sharing them properly on here.

Today I bring you a trio of antique French transfer ware plates in a soft brown and cream decorated with grapes, plums and prettily rendered vines. I believe these are 19th century by Hippolyte Boulenger & Compagnie, Choisy le Roi although they are unmarked.
All are in excellent condition.

It’s a day of halves today as, firstly, my mother begins her new regime of immunotherapy (keeping everything crossed for her) and secondly, my daughter finishes her A levels! The ups and downs of life…worry & joy in equal measure.

The beautiful plates measure 27cm and are priced at £20 each. They would look fabulous on the wall but are equally good as serving dishes.

UK p&p £6.99

Please DM to purchase.

Les fleurs…🌸 the flowers…🌸 my husband went away for the weekend and these were his compensatory gift to me. Perfectly suited to this beautiful blue vintage Dartmouth pottery vase.

It is for sale, the flowers are not! Dating to between the 1930s and 1950s, perfect condition and just such a great style, size and shape. Unusual to find one in this particular colour. A real delight for summer blooms and very easy to arrange with flowers. 🩵

Low level, so it’s also very easy to store on a shelf or dresser.

Price: £35 plus uk p&p £4.99

Please DM or comment below to purchase.

On a separate note, I am off to visit friends near Cambridge and then onto Suffolk today and over the weekend and hoping to include lots of sourcing whilst I’m about it. I know there is a fantastic car boot sale near my friend’s house on Sunday so I’ll share my finds as I go. Dx

Living life on the edge by posting a single image….📉Watch this post plummet! 😬I could have shown you the back, I guess, but it’s the front that’s the winner here.

A pair of French vintage Choisy-le-Roi hand painted cockerel shallow bowls which would perfectly suit the kitchen wall. Choisy-le-Roi plates are highly collectible French earthenware (often referred to as Terre de Fer, produced by the Hautin, Boulenger & Cie (H.B. & Cie) factory to the South of Paris from the mid-19th to early 20th centuries. This pair probably date to the 1920s.

A couple of tiny, almost imperceptible nibbles to the edge.

It’s a week for ceramics as the next piece I have coming up is a beautiful 1930’s vase. Might post two or three images of that, just to be radical!

Measures: 23cm diameter
Price: £20 each (sold separately) plus uk p&p £4.99

Please DM to purchase.

Who turned off the sun? Tipping down in London but the garden is happy and the heavy air has cleared 🌿🌸. I captured this stunning 1920’s Copeland Spode George III fruit set whilst the sun was still shining. 100 years on and the colours are still so vibrant.

“Spode’s George III” was manufactured by WT Copeland & Sons, Staffordshire, especially for Harrod’s and is now discontinued.
The bright, hand enameled pattern shows
sprays of both summer fruit and flowers set against an overall background pattern of delicate blue daisies on a white background.

It’s in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and is ideal for fruit salads or desserts served from the accompanying, matching bowl.

All are prettily scalloped. Rare to find a complete set in such good condition. A delight for display on a sideboard or dresser too.

Price: £65 the set plus uk p&p £8.99

Please Dm to purchase. 🍒🍓🍇
