Please, please, please, if you make an appointment with any self employed professional and, for whatever reason cannot make it to the appointment, just drop them a message to let them know.

It takes a few seconds!

We don’t require a reason, but it means we can offer the slot to someone else, or get on with something more productive that will earn some money instead of wasting time waiting around for a no show.

Not to mention the fact that it’s just plain rude.

A very hungry caterpillar made as a farewell gift for a special Early Years teacher. The children did their handprints on the green fabric and then I turned it into the body of the caterpillar. Pattern is my own design.

It’s always lovely to receive photos from clients of the outfits I’ve altered being worn to events. It’s not often I get to see the final look on the day. Thanks to Rebecca for these wonderful pictures of your daughter at her prom. She looked fabulous 😍

It never ceases to amaze me - the finishes I see on dresses I am asked to alter. This prom dress cost hundreds of pounds and the way the hems have been finished is shocking! They don’t even meet at the seams and the netting layers look like they’ve had an unfortunate encounter with Edward Scissorhands! One of the straps on this dress had also been sewn in twisted! (I didn’t get a photo of that). Be vigilant when purchasing your dresses guys… this surely would warrant a discount if pointed out to the retailer?
Outcome: The hem needed shortening, so I made it even (as it should be) and I was able to detach and re attach the twisted strap correctly.
The finished dress fitted perfectly and she looked stunning 😍👗🪡🧵
