I thought I'd share this fun guy with you.
And there's a story that goes with it. -
I love those intuitive prods. A few days ago I randomly picked up a vintage Royal Winton catalogue from our huge pile of vintage reference books in our 'stock room'. As I browsed, suddenly I discovered a photo that really caught my eye. Months earlier we had sourced a bright rooster tea pot that we just couldn't properly identify and so we assumed it was just a fun little novelty tea pot. But..this forray into the reference book unexpectedly revealed a photo and description of this charming rooster and showed me where it was from, where it was was made (1936 to likely 1939) and what it was called. I love those moments. So...I made a little video for your delight. I hope you like it. 😁🐓

Another reason for us to be proud of Nifty Finds By Mike. Today we moved up in our global ranking. It's always a little thrill to see those incremental steps as we know that getting into the top few percent is key in being seen and and thriving. We are still hoping to expand things a bit in the coming months, so watch out for more.

Vintage reselling is lots of fun and it's especially fun waking up to new orders that have come through while we've been sleeping. It never ceases to amaze me at what time in the late and early hours vintage lovers spend their money. Today is turning out to be a busy Sunday and that's okay too. Later we'll be trawling through the latest catalogues for tomorrow's auction about an hour away. And we want to enjoy some sun before the rain arrives. Enjoy your Sunday!

We're pleased with the lots we won at auction today. There were also 2 mechanical kitchen scales which aren't included in this video. We got ribbon plates, Wade whimsies, coin spoons, porcelain dinner plates and a gorgeous pitcher. A nice mix of vintage and antique treasures. Watch out for the listings over the next few days.

Time to clear out all the extras and damaged pieces from our lean-to for the charity shop and/or recycling centre. We actually have 20 boxes of bits and bobs so let the clear out begin. 🥰

We love finding vintage treasures that match each other. Last week at auction we found this gorgeous peachy vanity tray and candlestick holders. It goes so well with one of our vanity swivel mirrors with spindles. And the hand-held mirror and brush with embroidered backs pair beautifully with the powder jar and clothes brush. All in all a lovely nostslgic set up. Available individually in our shop now. 😊

This beauty turned up today in our latest auction haul. It was the last piece in the bottom of the second box. We're delighted she turned up for us and after a li ing clean up she'll listed in our shop. 😊

We came across this beautiful vintage combo a few days ago at auction. A romantic porcelain jug and bowl decorated with roses. Made in England of course. These pieces are pure nostalgia and truly lift the ambience in your home.
