When the mesh fabric is very delicate, the lace is a thick material and covered in beads and crystals then careful and calm is the best way.

As you can see in the close up photo Emma wanted more coverage than what the dress offered so I pinned in lots of well placed pieces of carefully matched lace. As much as the lace adds coverage in the middle of the bust it really finishes off the lace design of her dress! Thank you for the photos Emma. xx

I loved working on this detachable design with Lily. The draped back is beautifully blended into thin straps and the fastening hidden with a delicate little flower to match her dress lace. Lily chose a subtle unique polka dot tulle fabric in a cathedral length giving the cape a veil effect.

Just like Georgia's Catherine Deane wedding dress which needed extra care when altering due to the delicate nature of the fabrics. Getting a great fit meant completely taking the panels apart, adjusting and sewing back together again due to the complicated style of the dress pattern, but it worth it for a beautiful finished result!

Wedding season is in full swing! I recommend starting fittings around 2-3 months before the wedding date when possible. Allowing plenty of time for sewing. Spreading out fittings means I can book in multiple brides with the exact same wedding date. This time frame also allows me to complete your dress with time to spare. Ensuring alterations are enjoyable and stress free for the both of us!
