Retrieving the ECU code went well🤢

If you have watched the recent upload you will know that tomorrow there are 3 BIG upgrades happening to the PD130 Bora😎

One of which required a new remap file so I hit up PDpower Remaps and they sorted me out in quick time with a tasty discount code🤝 check them out for any mapping needs!

Is this the end of the PD130 cooling issue saga??

After the last drive there was a lot of white smoke coming from the exhaust. Pulled over and the thermostat was stuck closed, 30 mile trip (with some hardcut limiter🤠) and the bottom of the radiator was still cold.

Temperature reading on the cluster has never worked since I got the car. If you watch the YT videos you’ll already know the lengths I’ve went to investigating this.

New thermostat (colder opening) and temp sensor from Darkside Developments fitted along with the correct insert for an electrical temp gauge I’m due to fit.

No leaks, thermostat opened and I finally have a temp reading! Weather this will all be the case on a drive we are yet to find out🤞🏻

Out a drive in the Bora today to blow off the cobwebs and give it a run since it’s been a month!

Brand new thermostat is stuck closed, lots of white smoke and bottom of the radiator is cold even after a 20 mile drive…and some limiter🫡

De-badged grill looks good though, also been searching the internet for years to find a high mileage sticker. Visited Auto Alex’s website to find one😎

Thermostat is getting removed and hopefully will be the end of the cooling issue saga!

TDI Society is now on Facebook!

A page you can come to for all updates on YouTube videos and Turbo Diesel merchandise.

I started posting videos last year and things are already off to an amazing start with constant Subscribers and also followers on TikTok every day - now very close to a YouTube partnership and launching a merchandise store within the coming weeks.

The goal is to not only produce videos but create a brand which is why this page has been created to help further growth!

The very first stickers that were produced at the end of last year have already been posted to the likes of South of England and Ireland which is very exciting. There is huge interest in clothing and accessories which is what I will be providing - Items already in stock ready for sale (Advertising to finish off).
