Happy International Yoga Day!

I feel I need to mark this, because I feel such gratitude.
Practicing yoga has helped me so much over the last couple of years. It’s helped me to manage tension, anxiety and pain, and to accept, love and care for myself. And through my lovely yoga class SucramYoga I’ve formed new friendships and feel part of a community at last.

My next vintage market is at the end of this month, at beautiful Hebden Bridge!

I'll be sharing the space with some fantastic fellow traders at this event organised by Dawn - who many of you will know on here as a seller of lovely vintage homewares.

The first Hebden Bridge vintage fair was a very special event, so we're all looking forward to going back for this second one.

I'll be spending this weekend sorting and selecting stock to bring along - I've been out sourcing fresh pieces so I'll have plenty to choose from!

What’s the best part of the job? Sourcing, of course - finding lovely old pieces out “in the wild”!😉
And I’ve had some pretty successful sourcing trips lately…

Particularly chuffed with the Orange Tree consommé cup, John Buck cabbageware, and most of all the Old Colony glass vases - they’re such a lovely blue! And the Bisks tin has such great graphics… love em all!

The next Hebden Bridge vintage fair is on Saturday 27th June, and I’m delighted to announce I’ll be trading there again!

Many of you will know the lovely Dawn as a seller on here. She’s organising the fair, and did an amazing job last time - it was such a friendly event, and in a lovely venue… we’re all really looking forward to going back.

🧡Woven basket bowls with fabric inners - very cute and perfect for bread, rolls etc for an al fresco meal, or just for keeping bits and bobs in. Larger measure about 9” across. I have 3, all same colour-way. Have 2 slightly smaller, one of each colour, about 8”. £3.50 each or £15 the lot plus £4 pp.
🧡Papier mache small lidded trinket pots. Hand painted, from Kashmir. Made for Oxfam - anyone remember these? I used to buy them all the time in the 70’s and 80’s🥰 Be aware, the lids fit loosely, that’s how they’re made.
£6.50 each plus £4 p&p.
🧡wooden bead necklaces, 1960’s, lovely quality and grain to the beads. Shorter has unusual wooden screw-in fastener. Sits just below collar bone. £8. Longer one finishes at lower part breastbone. Slightly loosely strung. £6. Plus £2.50 pp.

Just thought I’d add in a couple of pretty summery vintage bags…

👜1960’s raffia crochet handbag, slightly darker navy blue than the photos. Good practical size. With gold tone chain and clasp. Interior is fabric lined with zip pocket and open pocket. In great condition, no issues except tiniest of surface wear to link rings attached to handle - nothing at all significant. £18 plus £4.50 pp.
👜Traditional string bag, hand knotted jute, great condition, looks unused. £9 plus £3 pp.

🌞Fisher boy at sunset picture by Dallas Simpson. Plastic frame, unglazed, very lightweight, tiny bit of paint loss. No hanger on back so you’d have to prop it. 9” x 7”. £5
🌞Jolylle (Idylle Falconi) picture on wood, little girl playing dressing up. The corners of the wood are knocked but it’s not vety noticeable from the front. 9.5” x 4.75”. £5
🌞Dallas Simpson photo album, cute street urchin and dog. Fits older smaller old format photos. Plastic cover is wrinkled. £5
🌞Spanish/Mallorcan souvenir fans. The red dots is fabric & has a plastic frame. Spanish dancers is wood and fabric. Bit of paint on the fabric. £4 each.

How about these for a fresh summery table? 1930’s Art Deco Crown Devon. I’ve had these for many many years but have no space so it’s time to let them go to someone else who’ll love them💚
👉They all have some crackle, and some have small chips/fleabites, but are all stable and useable. 👉Please read following descriptions and check the photos thoroughly for condition before claiming:

💚Set of 6 lettuce and tomato plates, 7.5” across. No chips. Minor rub to glaze in places but overall in good condition. £28 set plus pp

”Garden Path”:
💚2 dessert bowls. Both have nibbles/small chips to underside. 6” across. £8 pair plus pp
💚single small square tea plate. Fleabite to underside. 6”. £5 plus pp
💚set 3 small plates. 2 have small chips, 1 of those is strangely warped. 1 has no issues. 7” across. £10 set plus pp

I love this little group - really enjoyed putting it together😄

🥚Opaque milk glass hen on nest dish. About 3” tall x 4” long. No chips, lovely condition. £15.
🥚Pair blue & white transfer-ware eggcups, speckles of age related discolouration on inside and at foot, otherwise fine. £8
🥚Blue & white transfer marmalade pot by Ditto. Fine hairline crack, but still displays nicely. About 3” tall. £6.50
🥚Light blue simple rustic stoneware jam pot. £8
🥚Glass jars with ground stoppers. Larger has tiny fleabites to stopper. Small is about 4” tall, £4. Large is 7.5” tall, £6.
🥚Any girl guides out there? Sweet little silver plated souvenir teaspoon with girl guides logo produced by the WAPW (Wales Association of Pewter Workers). £7
