My new hack for sewing on the under apron strap! Adding the colour to these straps is quite literally a stab in the dark and sometimes could become quite frustrating! I'm quite enjoying my new hack, it's a significant decrease in time and frustration with a small increase in stabbing myself with the needle!

This time a slow video. Preparing the pleats in real time. Could I do it faster? Yes, I could even skip this step all together and just pin them, but getting those horizontal lines perfect is one of my favourite parts of kiltmaking and for me, this gives the results!

I couldn't be happier with how my two-tone kilt turned out – a true labour of love!

This kilt has allowed me to experiment and play with everything I've learnt. The split pieces gave me opportunities that you can't force on a one tartan kilt and as it was for myself.

It’s a bittersweet moment, as finishing this kilt also marks the end of my time at the EKA. Huge thanks to Kirsty and my kilt fam for supporting (and often encouraging) my madness along the way!
