Super soft skinny scarf!

Soft and cosy scarf, hand woven with a pale blue warp and a blend of variegated wool for the weft. The lightweight weft has added a softness to this airy scarf giving it a lovely drape and add an extra layer to any outfit.
This unique scarf has been hand woven on a 16” rigid heddle loom.

Measurements:
Approximately 6” x 56”, perfect ‘Skinny Scarf’.

Care Instructions:
To preserve the materials of the scarf I recommend a gentle hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, reshape whilst damp.

All these table runners are now available to buy from my Etsy shop.
I weave these at home on a rigid heddle loom using quality wool and cotton. I make them at a width and length suitable for a small table or sideboard, but can do ones to customer’s measurements, as well as in customers choice of colour too.

Using a coral, bright blue and salmon pink striped weft with a light blue warp, I have created this cosy runner suitable for a sideboard or table.

A year ago today I made this cosy cable knit table runner. I was delighted with the outcome and how quickly it sold!

Since then I have continued to design more decorative table runners in a variety of colours and textures, often inspired by the brilliant colours of nature.

Spent the day weaving this Citrus decorative table runner.

The whole weaving process took me just over 6 hours. That includes warping it up, separating the slot and hole threads, tying it on, loading up my stick shuttles (I used two for this weave) and then finally weaving.

Now that it’s complete, I had to remove it from the loom by cutting off all the tied threads and then tying it in knots of roughly four threads. I sew in and trim any loose ends before giving it a wet finish.

I reshape it whilst it’s damp then the final steps is to press with a cool iron and check all the tassels are even.

This particular piece has been created for a customer order, so will be heading to it’s new home soon.

Little helpful tip… I tie a tape measure to the beginning of the warp (as I always warp up extra to allow for waste), so it’s handy to keep an eye on my progress and sizing for orders.
