JUST 1 WEEK TO GO!! So we thought you might like to see the floor plans for this year's show. We have 2 sales halls: one in the Grandstand and one in the Berkshire Stand. So now's your chance to decide where to head first! The two food courts are on the 1st floors of each building (above the two sales halls), and workshops take place on the 1st floor of the Berkshire Stand. The floor plans also appear in the free Show Guide booklet that you'll get when entering the show. Sadly, my old sewing machine gave up the ghost last week. But look what just arrived... My new Husqvarna. I'm so excited. Think I'll use a day or so to figure everything out. But then, we will be fully up and running again.... Happy me 😁

Just wanted to share a sweet story with you.
A couple of weeks ago at Woolfest/Cumbria I displayed some of my new designs... dresses made out of vintage, recycled doilies and lace. A lovely lady approached me, asking if I would be interested in her grandma's lace and doilie collection. Yes please, my reply... She then declined to take any money for them, not even for postage.
I just received the third parcel. I send a big thank e-mail and she wrote this as reply...
'I am just very happy to know that Grandmas work is going to be reused in such a creative and stylish way and I know that she would be happy to see it having a use in the 21st Century. Her name was Sarah-Ann Seddon and she had a long and full life from 1893 – 1992 starting work in a cotton mill in Lancashire at the age of 13 – she was a tough but lovely woman who I think of with great fondness.'

That is how my doilie dresses start out.
Bucket loads of lace and doilies boiled on the stove in various shades of red. Then hung up to dry. After they've been ironed I'm ready to go. Watch this space
