Hello all, how are you all doing - well I hope!
It's a strange old world we are in at the moment isn't it? In the past few months I have had some really strange experiences with this my little page.
Firstly, you may have noticed that there is a new plant business in Clarkston who are also going by Dear Green Place. So I have been fielding enquiries about plants a lot. It's quite an unsettling experience to be honest, but I wish them all the best in their new venture
Secondly, for the first time ever I have had a series of no shows. People booking slots and then disappearing off the face of the earth!
In response to this I have had to have a think about how I take orders.
From now on I will be taking a 50% non refundable deposit when bookings are made. At the time of booking I will need to know exactly how many items you are wanting made - you would be surprised how many folk say they want a bear made and then turn up and actually want three or four. You will be given a date that the clothing has to reach me by - it can come before that date but no later. If the clothing is not with me by this date the slots are lost, I will be willing to reschedule for the next available slot whenever that may be, no guarantee can be made.
I have also had to increase my prices - bookings already made will be at the old price. I hate charging anything for my memory makes, I would do them for free if I could, so it has been a hard decision to make. However, I also value my time with my family and what I charge still doesn't cover a living wage for the time spent.
This is a really long and rather sad read! Sorry! If you made it to the end go have a cuppa and a biccie as a reward.
