Only I could do this… 🙄😂

I spent almost the entire day at the on Tuesday and absolutely loved it.

Met so many wonderful people. Properly immersed myself.

Stunning interior textiles.
Beautiful wallpapers.
Amazing friendly people.
So many good conversations.

Did I document any of it? Did I take ANY photos or videos of the event?
No. Of course not. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Zero aesthetic content.
No carefully curated detail shots.
Not a single “networking but make it chic” photo.

Instead… I present to you:
🐴 The Kelpies.🐴

Because apparently the only thing I photographed all day was two giant horse sculptures from a moving car.

Honestly, I was just having too good a time chatting and connecting (which, let’s be real, is the whole point).

One day I’ll have an assistant to capture content while I chat away and forget my phone exists.

Until then, you’re getting vibes, sporadic posts, and drive-by horse photography.

Wouldn’t have it any other way 😬😂

Why I create my print artwork this way… 🖤

1. I’m a textile print specialist and I understand how traditional print processes work.
2. I love the traditional look of screen-printed and handmade textiles and wallpaper.
4. I like to give my clients/collaborators the option to both digitally print or screen-print designs.
5. I want to keep traditional and hand-crafted skills going in the era of AI.
6. I love working this way.
7. Not colouring my artwork on paper gives me more freedom and ease to experiment with colour on Photoshop.
8. I’m slightly addicted to the way the colour separated layers look on tracing paper, especially when layered together!

Feel free to stick around and see how this bird looks once it’s been edited and had colour added to it on Photoshop. 🎨

Stumbling upon an old boat yard near my home in Scotland was a treasure trove of inspiration - those weathered boats tell a story.

This print in particular is inspired by peeling decayed paintwork, rust and dilapidated painted wooden panels found on an old fishing boat there.

I’m not usually one to follow colour trends… but this one stopped me in my tracks 👀

Colour is deeply personal — we all experience it differently. We have our own tastes and preferences. That’s why I think the conversation around Cloud Dancer has missed the point. Chosen by , this off-white isn’t about playing it safe — it’s about intention and experimentation.

Cloud Dancer is designed to quiet the mind and act as a blank canvas to create. A pause. A breath. A moment of calm in an otherwise chaotic world.

There are no rules when it comes to colour in interior design. Everything doesn’t need to be beige or bold — sometimes it’s about contrast, restraint, and balance.

Then there’s Transformative Teal 💙💚

This one speaks straight to my soul. Not quite blue, not quite turquoise, not quite green (my favourite colour) — but beautifully in between. Rich, grounding, calming. A colour that feels both modern and timeless.

I brought both of these colour stories together in two of my latest designs from my upcoming Fungi Formations collection. Using neighbouring hues of Cloud Dancer and Transformative Teal, paired with rich caramel, earthy browns, and inky black, the palette feels considered, grounded, and alive.

The designs themselves are an abstract, fine-art take on Scottish forest fungi — bringing nature indoors in an unexpected way. This isn’t traditional foliage. It’s expressive, heartfelt, and pushes the boundaries of surface pattern design and surface design for contemporary interiors.

Bold, stand-alone, and made to be noticed — the designs work beautifully as wallpaper, grasscloth wall coverings, and textiles for both residential and commercial interior design projects.

The designs will soon be available via my shop (see link above).
