I can finally share this bespoke card I made. I was asked for a leaving and good luck card for a colleague with plenty of room for messages! It includes the work colour and elements linked to the person. I added a sewn book insert for room for messages from everyone in the team.

After a very lovely Easter break spending lots of time with these wonderful people in the sunshine I am back. Etsy shop will reopen, I’ve got some new ideas and I’m raring to go… well maybe after a cup of tea!

Today’s prompt for is product range. I mainly cut my designs to order so don’t ever have much stock but I currently have 8 card designs on Etsy and then have some other designs and bespoke options if you swipe or scroll down my grid. So here is the card I showed you a sneak peak of last week. It has now been received so can show you the finished thing.

Todays prompt is mistakes/lessons. What this picture doesn’t show you is that it is actually the second one I made because as I was cutting the final bit of the balloon I sliced the whole thing off! I’ve lost count of the number of times I have sliced through vital parts of a design when trying things out. I think I’ve only cut myself once though so not too bad!

Setting up this page and having a shop on Etsy has been a learning curve with so many lessons learnt, from little things such as how long things take to big things like how hard it is to find printing that I’m happy with! And I’m still learning how Instagram works!!

Todays prompt for is materials. I have a ridiculous amount of card but other than that the materials are pretty simple! A cutting mat, a blade, a pencil and a ruler are what I use to make most of my papercuts. Goals is the prompt for today. I have just bought myself a sales map and would love to tick off a few more postcodes. All of my sales have been to people I know/friend of a friend. So even if I don’t know them personally I know who they are. I would love to sell something to someone completely random! So those are my goals for this year!

Today is numbers in the and this is a quick scribble and cut that I did earlier.

Did you know I currently have 6 handcut card designs on Etsy? With more designs to come. And I’m currently playing around with the idea of turning this into a kids birthday card with bright primary colours… what do you think?

🌷 Seasonal 🌷

Spring def feels like it is on its way! Most of my papercuts are linked to some sort of season, event or celebration so fits nicely with day 11 of March meet the maker. Whether that is a bespoke wall design or a card. The two cards that are currently most popular are the Easter card and the Mother’s Day card. It is so hard to pick a favourite out of the things I have cut for March meet the maker today. I would choose different things on different days but the first photo is definitely up there. The family flower bouquet with each family member represented by the flower linked to their birth month. If you want one of your own message me on Etsy or DM me on here to start a conversation. ⏰ planning ⏰

I like to think of myself as a pretty organised person but with work, young children and this page to fit into every day life it can sometimes be a bit hit and miss. I’m a big fan of a to do list. Particularly on some nice stationary! And I’ve normally got hundreds of lists on my phone! But whatever the state of these, the planning of any new design starts as scribbled little doodles like this one! Not pretty, not complete, but the start of an idea!
