Christmas can be such a triggering time when you’re missing a loved one 💔 with so many traditions and memories of years gone by it can feel like a very long month of daily reminders that the person you love is no longer with you.

I know this year is going to feel very different without dad, and sometimes the endless hype on tv and social media that we all “should” be having the time of our lives can make the loss echo even louder.
The pressure to live up to those Christmas ideals of love, joy and laughter can be so overwhelming when all you really want to do is runaway and pretend that it’s not happening.

So if you’re finding that it really isn’t the most wonderful time of the year please know you’re not alone. It’s ok if one day you’ll happily clap and sing along to the Christmas songs on the radio but the next you just want to hide under your duvet and sleep all day. Find joy in the simple things, let the feelings come and go as they need to and be kind to yourself 💕

These dates seem to come round quicker every year, can’t believe we’re well into the first week of December already!

Today is the last day for Christmas delivery on international orders and UK peeps you have 2 weeks left to get those Christmas orders in before the big day arrives 🎅🏻

I will still be open for orders after these dates but I won’t be able to guarantee they will arrive before Christmas so best to order early to avoid disappointment ✨

Don't get me wrong, I love a good bargain as much as the next person, but the ever increasing hype around Black Friday that seems to last for an entire month leaves me feeling pretty exhausted!

The mindless spending and throw away culture that it encourages is something that just doesn't sit well me, and besides us small businesses simply not being able to compete on that level, all the “last chance” urgency tactics and relentless email marketing just aren’t my thing.

My sole priority with Tinelli Paper Co has always been to create quality, heirloom products, mindfully made with love and intention. Products that would be so special and meaningful that they would be lovingly tucked away in a box of memories under the bed, not lining the sides of another landfill.

Most of all I want my work to make a difference, whether that be to the giver or the receiver, so with that in mind, this year I will be championing Give Back Friday. From Friday 24th November till Monday 27th November, 25% of every sale made in my Etsy shop will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, a wonderful cause that is so close to my heart. I really hope that in just a small way I can give back and enable them to continue their incredible work which proved to be such a lifeline to my own family in recent years.

With only 5 weeks to go till the big day it’s safe to say Christmas is in full swing and this year I wanted to add something a bit spesh into the mix ✨

One of my fondest Christmas memories as a kid was seeing my grandma’s tree which was packed to the brim with the most beautiful vintage decorations she had collected over the years. Each one was so unique, with different colours, shapes and hand painted patterns, seeing them as a kid was like being in a Christmas sweetie shop 💕

So, when I was planning out this year’s Christmas collection I thought how lovely it would be to re-live those precious memories and re-create Grandma’s decorations with my own minimalistic spin, and I’m so chuffed with how they’ve turned out!
Featuring my own hand-drawn patterns printed in gold foil (of course!) onto luxuriously thick white card, they are the perfect blend of modern simplicity and vintage charm. A nostalgic mix of Christmas past and present to be cherished for a lifetime 💕
