WELCOME to my attic!

I'm downsizing (a lot!) and selling off lots of things ... furniture, clothes, vintage items and a whole lot more.

You can pick items up from my place near Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. Just send me a message and tell me what you'd like and we'll arrange a pay and pick-up time.

Lovely, vintage retro desk by Meredew.

This classic has been in my home since it was first purchased from a furniture store in the early seventies. It's British-made and has that lovely amber-glow finish characteristic of this maker. A delightfully solid piece (no flat-pack wobbles here!)

Made of teak, teak veneer, backed with ply. Drawers are white melamine-type (sorry, I don't know what the correct term would be!)

It's a very versatile piece and has served well as a sewing table, student desk, dressing-table and even a TV cabinet in it's time! The back is shaped to sit above a skirting board so that it sits flush with a wall.

Dimensions are approximately:

133cm x 70cm x 42 deep.

The handles were replaced in the late seventies/early eighties and there are of course a few minor marks and bumps consistent with age and use.

Sad to see it go, but maybe a retro-fan will give it a loving home!
