Happy International Women’s Day to all the strong females in our network! 🏠

We all have our personal struggle and can come up against unconscious bias - for many different reasons. One of the many things I love about the property investment business that there’s not a glass ceiling in this industry in the way it exists in others. We’re valued on our work, and what we can offer to our network and our investors. This is something that’s experienced undoubtedly in our group with and I’m proud to be a part of it.

How big is too big? 😅👀

From the outset we knew that this was going to be a big project but it grew into so much more.

It was all worth it.

We ended up turning this property into a luxury serviced accommodation with heaps of character. 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms complete with a games room.

Advice when creating a large serviced accom:

- Ensure there’s demand.

Don’t just take airdna’s word for it but do your research on what’s in the area and hotel demand. Who are the main clients and what are they looking for - from size to spec

- Ensure you have enough cash 💷

Don’t just consider the deposit, and furnishing costs. There’s so much more that creeps up and you should save an extra 20% of your estimate just in case

- Warm it up.

Large SAs have a lot of space. Do it justice by putting together a mood boards to plan the rooms and consider all the small furnishing options that will give it life and not let the space look sparse.
Use bright colours (that compliment each other) to make it an environment reminiscent of your favourite hotel or restaurant.

So many times we sit and wonder why we just can't seem to get into the flow of things. If there's one thing that the pandemic has taught us, is that we need to LOVE our space, because we are here a lot. ⠀
⠀
Your space can have so BIG effects on your brain. If you are sitting there wondering how to ease the tension, have a quick tidy and organise your space, move the futon to the other side of the room and clear the books you've been *meaning to read away. 📚😳⠀
