I've been at my WI coffee morning today, which was to raise funds to buy planters and plants for Bee Friendly planters to be placed at Catton village entrance. I designed some bee brooches for the occasion and am selling the brooches and the patterns towards the funds!

Now my Mum has her Christmas present I can post pictures of it!
This was another crochetalong I followed, using Rowan creative focus worsted. It's very warm and snuggly and Mum seems very pleased.

At this time of year I can't post many makes because they are all secrets! But today is my lovely friend Sara's birthday and I'm more than pleased that she loves her birthday beret!
The pattern is from Simply Crochet and the yarn is Erika Knight British blue.

Today's finished item has been a really special project. I designed this blanket for our crochet group, adding a new stitch every month to help people with their crochet skills. My blanket is for Nick and I managed to keep it a secret until the big reveal today!
The blanket is crocheted in Rowan Pure Breeds chunky and is very warm and snuggly. Nick loves it.

It's not crochet this time...it's weaving! Nick got me a table loom last Christmas and I finally made myself a scarf. It is entitled the "Ruth Hawkin Limited tribute scarf on a base of Fibre Harvest & John Arbon Textiles with hints of Whistlebare Northumberland's Finest Yarns". What a mouthful but I already love the scarf!

I've finished my lilypond CAL and can finally post about it as I entered it in Allendale Show today so it's no longer secret from the judge (the lovely Christine). It was a labour of love and now I really love it!
