Our founder Adam Alderson underwent a multi visceral 8 organ transplant for rare abdominal cancer Pseudomyxoma Peritonei in 2015. During his battle Adam realised that living with a stoma had its challenges when finding clothing, something that not only fit well providing dignity and support but actually made us feel good. Yaks was created by Adam in 2017 when he took on the adventure of a lifetim

e to travel the world in a little 15 years old 4x4 that had seen better days. The Yaks brand evolved when Adam set out to create a better alternative for patients living with Ostomy, Insulin pump, IV Access and much more ! So come with us on our journey as we shake up the fashion industry showing that our conditions don't define us they make us THE BRAVE !!

Over the years I’ve been working on developing a patient clothing brand that supports people living with Ostomy, insulin pumps and hernia support. Yaks became the brand name for the project and I’ve personally designed and overseen every element of the production process. Frustrated with what is currently available for us Ostomy patients of black or white that never quite fit right, I have reimagined patient clothing to provide what we want and deserve “something funky” and functional that gives confidence and comfort whatever we do. Today I have teamed up with NTH Solutions in collaboration to take Yaks where it belongs. As a leading brand for people with body changes and medical support devices. So excited to see where this journey takes us and can’t wait to get started 👍🏻
