I am Susan Moncur, founder of Moncur Knitwear, a brand inspired by my passion for colourful luxury, sustainability and the vibrant textile heritage of the Scottish Borders. All products are designed and made in the Scottish Borders which has a thriving textile heritage. But that's not all I do! I am also a teacher, inspiring teenagers to explore careers in fashion and textiles. With over 20 years of industry experience I've dedicated my life to celebrating beautiful textiles, sharing my expertise and encouraging the next generation of designers and makers. Moncur Knitwear was born in 2020 from a dream I nurtured for many years. Today, my small independent brand reflects everything I love: luxurious natural materials, sustainable practices and the joy of colour, pattern and texture. Moncur is a registered trademark 2021. Been running in, out and round about for weeks, but with my last Christmas market wrapped up, today is a proper Friday tidy day!
Time to finally catch up with myself, empty all the bags, sort my stock and get sorted for Christmas!
Just one more week of school to go… then I can turn my attention to getting my family Christmas organised.
