the inside also has a zip pocket and lined with salvaged 90’s parasols from Margate beach 🏖️

i picked them up from austin and his brother in 2012/13 ish… is that hoarding? or just waiting for their time to shine? its a thin line… 🤷‍♀️

How are we all?!
An update from this end…
As of this morning, there are 185+ email requests asking to send in broken inflatables 😳

As you may (or may not know) the storage container is at full capacity so we need to make some space to reopen our incoming broken inflatable service 🪄

If you would like to help, there are now a couple of ways to do this

💥The first (and most obvious) is to buy a bag you like the look of- at the moment, there’s a 25% sale until midnight on Wednesday (no codes needed, the discount will be automatically applied) this is always VERY MUCH appreciated

🌱Secondly, liking and sharing posts/ commenting is another way to support and raise awareness

⭐ Thirdly (and this one’s very new) whenever you see the Stars icon, you can send me Stars

These will *eventually* turn into actual real life funds that can be put towards maintaining and ultimately reopening the storage facility for incoming broken inflatables 💃

The first products made as part of our ongoing collaboration with Making for Change / London College of Fashion are now LIVE 💥💥💥

Making for Change is a social enterprise and partnership with HM Prison Services, Ministry of Justice, London College of Fashion, poplar Works and The Trampery, creating opportunities for women facing disadvantages and inequalities

Established in 2014 it provides vocational training, qualifications and production experience across two prison and community based manufacturing units

Making for Change fosters skills development, empowerment and long term employment prospects, building a better pathway for the women involved

Its the most important collaboration I’ve ever had the privilege to be a part of and Im very excited to say the first products (box wash bags) are now available on the site at the link 👇

Thanks so much to the whole team involved in making this happen, I’m so grateful to be abñe to place the fabrics and designs in their incredibly capable hands ♥️

Hello 👋

It’s been over 3 months since I showed my face, is anyone still here?? 👀
i have a slightly longer story than this post will let me write, so I’m putting it in a blog post, in bullet points…
🧠 i had a nervous breakdown after the demise of my ‘other’ business (which like Voldemort, wont be named, but if you’re already here, chances are you already know)
I tried for much longer than was healthy, to try and save it and I’ve been in trouble with close friends and family for not being more open about that, so… here we are 🤷‍♀️
💪 i have a serious rotator cuff injury in my shoulder from 15+ years of working with *heavy as hell* fabrics and have just started the very long healing process. Sadly, I’m still unable to sew larger quantities (i still struggle to sew smaller quantities!) I’m taking it day by day 👣
✂️ I am now working with some amazing machinists and people to get bags made again and this video was shot today!!

Im only able to do small bits at a time, but it feels so good to be moving again- and IN THE SUNSHINE ☀️

If you’re still here, THANKYOU! If you read until the end of that, THANKYOU!
And, if you’re struggling to talk about things that are s**t or hard, I highly recommend it- turns out, it really does help the healing process ♥️

pet coats have been reintroduced to the site (just for christmas), purely based on this picture of twiggy wearing hers 🌭

twiggy’s is crafted from salvaged deckchair canvas and lined with tan inflatable camping mattresses
