This Menstrual Hygiene Day feels deeply personal.
Every conversation we have on the high street, at events, in schools and in small community groups reminds us that periods are not just a “women’s issue”. They affect confidence, education, dignity, wellbeing and opportunity.
That is why we continue to create open, practical and stigma-free conversations around menstrual hygiene, reusable period underwear, period swimwear and leakproof continence wear.
We are especially proud of our collaboration with Burrow URC Primary School in support of the Bethany Project, helping provide reusable period underwear to girls so that a lack of period products does not become a reason for missing school.
Because no girl should have to sit at home instead of being in class.
No girl should have to feel embarrassed, anxious or unprepared.
No girl should have to miss out because of her period.
We are also grateful to be growing our local reach through our partnership with Dr Jess of The Women’s Health Hub, who is now stocking our products and working with us to provide talks, guidance and advice around menstrual health and women’s wellbeing.
But our work does not stop with periods.
We are seeing another quiet, painful gap: women after menopause who are living with bladder leaks or continence worries, often in silence.
I have personally met women who have told me that having the backup of a comfortable leakproof continence pant has helped them leave the house with more confidence, go about their day with less anxiety, and feel more like themselves again.
These are only the women who have found the courage to speak to me.
There are many more who are managing alone.
This needs to change.
Reusable products are not just about sustainability. They are about dignity. Confidence. Education. Freedom. They are about making sure girls do not miss school, women do not avoid life, and older women are not left unsupported.
So today, I am asking you to take action.
Talk to someone.
Refer a friend.
Tell a parent, teacher, carer, auntie, sister, colleague or neighbour.
Ask the older women in your life, gently and with love, how they are managing with bladder leaks or continence. Let them know there are reusable products that look and feel like normal underwear, but offer extra protection, comfort and peace of mind.
Start the conversation.
Help us reach the girls and women who may be suffering quietly.
Because periods, leaks and continence should never take away anyone’s dignity, confidence or opportunity.
Join the reusable journey. Be part of the change.
