This is a question a lot of clients ask me, so I thought I’d share it here!
The simple answer is that I became the person I needed when I entered Motherhood. I knew nothing about slings and baby carriers back in 2020. I knew nothing about parenting and babies at all then! And as you probably know, there wasn’t much support available in that pandemic-lockdown-lovely year.
So when I had my second baby in 2024, I had full freedom and access to all sorts of support… but still no babywearing help. There were no sling libraries in my local area. So, I decided to learn, spent a full year studying and gaining specialist qualifications, and then launched my sling library.
I started up in Nantwich and then spread out to different areas I could travel to, where I knew people needed my guidance and specialist support.
A year later I had the incredible opportunity to take over and I’m so grateful for the journey I’ve been on and all the people that I’ve met along the way. Supporting mums, dads, newborn babies & new families is so incredibly fulfilling, and I can’t wait to share the additional plans I have coming up soon! 🥰
Have you started something unexpected or new while on maternity leave? I’d love to hear your stories too!
