I am so excited to show you all the new baby BaSiL Bear!

This adorable cutie comes with a sweet cardigan, a nappy, a baby bottle and a dummy.

She was a very special order from WebbBSL2022 for a little girls naming day and has been customised with a cochlear implant to match Mummy and a t-shirt with WebbBSL2022 logo on.

Now that she has arrived at her forever home and I have permission, I can share some photos with you

Hello September!
I am sad to see the Summer go as I love the warmer weather but I do love the colours and cosiness of Autumn.
I've been busy with a very cute crochet pattern test for Angie over at Angie Dooley and I'm in love with it!

The rain clouds have gathered and it has been a blessing to sit outdoors and crochet.
Even when the rain began to fall I kept calm and carried on crocheting.
I could just imagine the plants and wildlife shouting with joy as the rain gently splattered the parched ground.

This yarn by James Brett is called Aurora and I love it. It's easy to work with, soft and cosy and I love the colour changes.
The pattern is from the fabulous Crissy 💫 and Crissy has designed it for children and adults.
It really is the perfect cosy weather cardigan!

Hello my lovelies. How are you all?
As always, life here at Bumblebee HQ has been super busy with the little ones coming and going. The school Summer holidays are always full of fun and chaos.
So far we have been to various parks, enjoyed a fabulous day at the Humber Rescue fundraising event near the Humber Bridge and a few days camping with 8 children which was great fun.
Everyone desperately needed showers and a comfy bed afterwards! 😂
Tomorrow we are off to Hulls newly refurbished Maritime Museum which we are all really looking forward to. I may post a story or two so keep your eyes peeled!
Any ideas of what else we can do this Summer? Let me know in the comments below👇🏻

Hello my lovelies.
It's another beautiful day here in East Yorkshire.
As you can see, the sky is a gorgeous blue, the sun is out and I am crocheting a scarf!
Yes, crazy I know but it won't be long before the cosy season sets in and then it will be too late to get them made for you.
I have finished one Christmas order and almost completed the second one with a scarf and jacket on the hook as well.
Thankfully I don't have a huge blanket on my hook as that would be a challenge in this heat! 😂

What an amazing day it has been today.

My youngest daughter had her graduation ceremony and collected her PhD certificate.
We are all immensely proud of her and wish her every success with her future.
Of course we had to celebrate so off we went to Heavenly Desserts® UK 🇬🇧 for some delicious puddings. Yes, they were absolutely scrumptious!

Now, it's time to relax with just a little bit of crocheting and maybe watch Emily In Paris on Netflix UK & Ireland

Winter and Christmas projects are well underway here at Bumblebee HQ.
Yes, I know we are in the midst of a wonderful heatwave and I can't believe I am crocheting ready for those chilly Autumnal days!
BaSiL Bear has chosen some very pretty James Brett chunky Aurora yarn which feels so soft. This will be turned into a Cadiz Cardigan which will definitely keep me cosy. The pattern is available from Crissy 💫 and works up like a dream.

Do you remember me telling you that Lincoln was doing a sponsored walk across the Humber Bridge?
Well, he has completed it along with lots of other little friends from Hull Deaf Centre. 1.3 miles (2.2 km) each way! Not bad for a little 4 year old.
They've raised over £1,000 for their Happy Hands Playgroup which will help fund more inclusive activities for deaf children and their families.
Thank you so much to everyone that donated. It means so much to us as Happy Hands have been so supportive since Lincoln was born.

I am so proud of everyone in our little crochet class.
We had 2 new ladies join us and I've been teaching them some basic stitches.
They've both completed a cute pair of fingerless gloves. Aren't they cute?! Not bad for first time crocheting. 🥰
What do you think they should make next?

Apart from crochet classes Wednesday afternoons, life here at Bumblebee HQ has been as busy as always.
I'm still crocheting Christmas gifts, (sorry... 🤭) but this Sunday I'll be taking a break and cheering on our grandson, Lincoln, and the Happy Hands children as they will be walking over the Humber Bridge… and back!

We’re coming together as a community to hopefully raise £500 for the Hull & East Yorkshire Deaf Centre Children’s Fund. Hull Deaf Centre’s ‘Happy Hands’ is an independent charity offering British Sign Language-supported playgroups, fun activities, and exciting events like Halloween and Christmas parties for deaf children and children with hearing loss. The group also supports the children of deaf parents (CODAs) who have no hearing impairments.

The group brings families together to share experiences, advice, and support, and relies entirely on donations to create inclusive, accessible experiences for people of all ages with hearing impairments.

gorgeous new pattern "Rufus, the Rusty Patched Bumblebee" has just been released!

As you know, I love making smaller versions so I made this tiny cutie using cotton yarn
and a small 2mm hook.

I had the pleasure of testing this cute bumblebee for Alexandra and I can honestly say it's such a sweet design and quick to make.
