Initially this position will be temporary but with the potential to become longer term in the future. It is for Sock Boarding (training will be given) for 2 weeks with an immediate start

Hours are Mon – Wed (9am to 5pm) and Thursday (9am to 3pm)

You can still pop into reception to pick up your face covering to say thank you to the community from us.
Hi Sileby community you have probably walked past that big chimney in the centre of the village and wondered what went on inside. Well usually we make socks. But we are now making face coverings on our sock machines.
But being part of village life for over 40 years we would like to offer something to the members of the community of Sileby.
From Wednesday we will have the double layer washable face coverings available for a £1 each (just to cover our costs) and are limited to 1 per person. They will come unpressed and not in a polythene bag. We don’t want to add any unnecessary waste to the world.
All we ask is you like and share our page ( that also includes socks) AND then pop into Ladkins on Seagrave Road to collect your face covering. The new rules come into force on Friday the 24th July

This is a thank you to the community for having us in the village for so many years.

We have been based in Sileby in Leicestershire for over 40 years and are primarily a hosiery company making socks for some of the biggest names on the high street and online.
We know face coverings are a very polarizing issue at the moment and everyone has an opinion. We have converted some of our machines into making these face coverings to help out the surrounding area of Leicestershire and East Midlands.
We are not jumping on the bandwagon just trying to keep our machines running in this very difficult time. We have produced these as cost efficiently as possible to help out and for the month of August are offering free delivery on these and the range of socks we offer.
