Coming out of a motivationless hole and doing something I've been meaning to for years - when I was much younger my mum gave me a bag she'd bought when she was a teenager and had bleach tie dyed. I fell in love with it and wore it everywhere. Alas, old cotton stitching did what cotton does and biodegraded, and it was essentially unusable. I always told myself I'd fix that bag, and it stayed in storage for 7 years until today.
I rebuilt it with: new bias binding, reinforced strap, all-new lining with (mostly) 80s fabric (using the old inside pocket as a pocket lining), a zipper which I always wished it had, and I used the old bias tape as keyring loops on the sides.
Feeling pleased with myself and very achieved. You will see me wearing this again! 🥰
