The Right Gear Could Save Your Life
Share , tag follow & like, the more we get the word out the more we can help as a community.

When you're heading out on your motorcycle, scooter, or moped, protective clothing isn't optional, it's your first line of defence.

Too often, riders choose lighter clothing for comfort, especially in warm weather or on short journeys. But if the unexpected happens, ordinary clothes offer little protection against impact and road abrasion.

Before every ride, make sure you're wearing:
An approved, correctly fitted helmet
A protective jacket and trousers
Motorcycle gloves
Sturdy, over-the-ankle footwear
High-visibility or reflective clothing where
possible.

The majority of journeys end safely, but crashes don't come with a warning. Whether you're travelling 1 mile or a few hundred, wear the right gear every time you ride.

If you are struggling and can't afford basic protective clothing in littlehampton and the Worthing areas it costs nothing to throw me a message, no cost, no names no judgement & no stigma, just bikers looking after bikers, I'll do my best to get you the basics to stay safe on the roads.

There is NO forecasted rain between 5pm - 8pm tonight so we will be going ahead!

Last week we called it off because of the forecasted rain within the opening times and unfortunately there are many days where we sit empty in the rain so we won’t take that chance on a Tuesday Night.
Obviously it stayed sunny but I like to make the call by 12pm so my team can go about their day & not waste it waiting for my call.
Apologies if that caused any inconvenience to anyone.

THERE WILL BE ICE CREAM ON OFFER WITH THE CRUMBLES TONIGHT FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE REQUESTED 🍦 🥳

A few things going on in the background to keep Rev It Forward going and reach more younger bikers in need. More details to follow within the next couple of weeks. Obviously as always if anyone is struggling for safety gear or knows someone who is, drop me a private message no one else needs to know, you know where I am.

A huge shout out and thank you to the incredibly kind person who dropped off their motorbike gear at Ceasefire Cafe today! Your generosity is going to make a massive difference. I also want to give another huge thank you to Bex at Ceasefire Cafe for making this all possible by letting the cafe be a donation drop-off point, I I'm so incredibly grateful for your amazing support towards the local community, without you where would we be !
For those who don't already know I also collecting gear no longer fit for the road that will be reused for DocBike Sussex training sessions etc, just remember nothing needs to be dumped or get put out with the rubbish, even damaged gear no longer fit for the road could potentially save a life including helmets.
I am on the lookout for a white children's helmet, I can respray if you have something different, this is for use for future Doc Bike sessions and will not be used on the roads, much appreciated, Joe 🏍️☕

Message from Carly Cripps to pass on:

Sadly Roy Brown left us suddenly Saturday 23rd May at 55 years young.
I have the privilege of looking after his service Friday 26th June 2026 3pm Worthing Crematorium.
Roy loved his bike and the freedom it gave and the family would love for him to be escorted by as many bikes as possible on his final journey.
If anyone is able to join us, the hearse will be leaving
HD Tribe ltd 63 Sea Lane Rustington BN16 2RQ at 2pm
to travel to his home in Angmering then onto Worthing Crematorium.
Please feel free to share and spread the word and I thank you all for any support you are able to give.

Sussex Police are responding to an incident where a tree came down and struck a vehicle on the A27 at Crossbush today. Local traffic is being heavily impacted, and emergency services are currently on site managing the scene and directing traffic. Thankfully everyone looks ok

A huge thank you to David, owner of Montague Street Cleaners, for supporting Rev It Forward by becoming an official donation drop-off point for pre loved motorcycle gear in Worthing.

Not only has David kindly offered his premises to help collect donated biker gear in the area, but he's also led by example and donated some of his own riding gear to help fellow bikers in need.

As a biker himself, David understands how important good protective gear is, and his support will help us reach more riders who may be struggling to afford the equipment they need to stay safe on the road.
