Today I seen something that shook me to my core.
How is it legal for people to be allowed to claim to be baby sleep experts and advise struggling parents with sleep deprivation, unethical and wholly dangerous sleep practices.
For those of you who know me, my eldest daughter had a near cot death experience when she was 2, and my other kids have had sleep issues for years. I know how debilitating it is when you're running on fumes.
That is why it scares me so much. These parents are being exploited by people who have no training but are desperate. I don't know how they don't have any morals knowing that the advice they are charging parents for could contribute to a baby's death.
Please, please, please, if your baby is not sleeping and you are struggling ask for professional advice from the NHS or the Lullaby Trust. Don't trust everything that you see on social media.
Social media support groups are great for validating how you are feeling and for other people's experiences. I know it can feel like you should be able to just get on with it and cope, but it's not that easy.
Just remember that you are vulnerable when you are sleep deprived and advice on safe sleeping should only come from qualified professionals.
Rant over, sorry but it upsets me seeing things like this 🤬
