A beautiful transformation for our client ✨✂️

She brought in her original yellow three-piece suit and asked if we could recreate it in a completely different colour.
So we sourced a beautiful purple brocade, copied the entire pattern, and made the entire outfit from scratch — coat, waistcoat and skirt included.

Victorian pieces of this quality were originally made very small, so this client’s bodice required a complete transformation. We matched the original fabrics, rebuilt the structure, increased the size, and replaced areas of silk damaged by dry rot.

This post shows a series of before and after photos from the restoration process.

What began as a fragile piece is now fully functional, restored for our client to wear and cherish for years to come.
