Thomas always came last in races. One day, he decided, “I’ll just run a little better than yesterday.” Weeks later, he wasn’t last anymore. He smiled—not because he won, but because he improved.

The little seed

Just before the spring season; on a little farm allotment, a small seed was put in the ground. It was so dark and lonely. It thought to itself, "I can't grow here." But unknown to it, it got a little longer every day. It finally broke through the ground one morning and saw the sun. Finally, it realised It had been growing the whole time.

💭 What small steps can your child keep trying at, even if they can't see results yet?

👉🏾 Comment "Growth Tracker" and i can share a simple template to help you track their confidence growth this month.

Spotting really confidence isn’t waiting for the big wins, because confidence isn't always loud. It's actually a "Quiet Spark " that grows in the messy "in-between" moments of their day.

👉🏾 Instead of affirming melt-down, they take a deep breath and try something new. ✨️

👉🏾 They clearly tell you what they want or how they feel even if it's different from what you expect. 👌🏽

👉🏾 They realise they are struggling and ask for help before giving up

Today's affirmation is focused on helping children understand that there are consequences for every action, and it is right to own up to ours.

💡So today, let's remind them:

👉🏾 Own up when we are wrong.

👉🏾 Be ready to face the positive or negative consequences.

👉🏾 Take initiative to solve problems, rather than wait to be told what to do.

👉🏾 Follow through on responsibilities.

👉🏾 Understand how our actions affect others.

Is your child feeling bad or lost due to a mistake? Teaching them these 3 simple steps can help:

👉🏾 Pause & Describe: Calmly state what happened without blame (e.g., "The milk spilled").

👉🏾Repair: Ask, "How can we fix this?" and let them help clean or make amends.

👉🏾Plan: Ask, "What’s our plan for next time?" to help them brainstorm a better choice.

Save this for your next "oops" moment

That little pause before a major decision is taken can be the difference between making a good or bad choice.

We can't really measure a child's confidence by a single yard stick. Have you been observing how they navigate life? Yes! That's your guide. You can use these 3 ways to do a quick gauge of confidence:

✨️👉🏾 How willing are they to take risks?
✨️👉🏾 How do they handle setbacks?
✨️👉🏾 How independent are they?

🧡Share what other ways have you successfully monitored your child's confidence level.👌🏽

Jayden's "magic words" weren't just please and thank you; they were the little things

Here's to that child who always has the best questions! The only wrong question is the one you didn't ask 🙋‍♀️✨️.

👉🏾 Encourage them to turn their " I don't know" to " I want to know" and watch their world get bigger and brighter 🌏💡

👉🏾 Remember to help them create reminders of this throughout the day. Stick it everywhere 😊 and check-in with them at the end of the day.

Save this post and drop a 🙋‍♀️ if you are encouraging your child to ask more questions when they feel stuck.
