Try experimenting with shades of pink, brown, and purple to freshen up your look. Otherwise, if you're looking to make green the star of the show, opt for neutral colours so that it pops

Accessories are a great way to elevate a look without putting in too much time and effort.

It is also a sustainable alternative for dressing up or dressing down your basics. The fewer clothes you have to add to your closet, the less textile waste you are adding to the environment.

So, here are my favourite accessory staples that I find most impactful when elevating my everyday looks.

Let me know which accessory you love styling the most 👇

Clothing colour selection can often be linked to the changing of the seasons.

Our mood is often directly affected by our environment. This is why when it is cold we feel a sense of gloom and when it's warm we tend to feel more upbeat. However, it has been clear that 2022 colour trends lean heavily towards bright and bold colours like Fuchsia, Electric Green, Orange, and Cobalt Blue.

I love that fashion is moving away from only dark and dull colours for autumn, and towards brighter colours. Don't get me wrong, a heavy black or brown coat is certainly a winner for colder days. However, with the emerging popularity and awareness of Dopamine Dressing, we can see a distinct shift to more colourful items in both modern streetwear and everyday garments seen in retail stores.

We are gravitating towards styles that help improve our moods, especially in seasons where the weather tends to worsen our moods.

What do you think about fashion trends gravitating towards more colour in autumn and winter wardrobes?

It's no secret that yellow elevates your mood and makes you feel light 💛

Yellow causes a boost in optimism and is beneficial to wear at an important event or even to inspire a workout.

A classic yellow sweater is a must-have for autumn and looks stunning with the majority of skin tones.

If a solid yellow garment feels too vibrant, you can minimise the effect of the colour. For example, a yellow top with a blazer in a more neutral colour like blue, white, or black.

Which one do you like the most, trends 1,2,3,4, or 5?

Here, in the UK, there really isn't much distinction between autumn and winter, am I right?

This doesn't mean that there aren't opportunities to explore warmer fashion. In fact, one of the easiest ways to elevate an outfit is by layering!

If you weren't aware, fashion week took place back in September. Don't worry if you're not exactly up to date with all the events happening in the fashion world. That's why I'm here! I have put together fashion trends I foresee becoming popular this autumn 🍂

Violet is bold and eye-catching and as such, is best styled with neutral colours like white, black, grey, and tan. However, if you're looking to make a bold statement, violet pairs well with green, orange, and light pink.

Have you ever worn a certain colour and felt it change your mood entirely?

According to Shakaila, “Survey data shows that we tend to associate bright colours with positive emotions, so when we wear these colours we embody these emotions, which subsequently makes us feel better.”
