Once upon a time…
There was an aged couple yearning to have a child. Finally, they had a lovely boy who never grow bigger than one inch.
One day, he decided to visit the palace in Kyoto and used his rice bowl as his boat, his chopsticks as his paddle and the sewing needle for his sword to the capital Kyoto...

The design came from the talented woodblock publisher UNSODO in Kyoto, whose business dates back to 1891. They’re the only publisher who specialises in woodblock prints, and their archive dates back 300 years. Such amazing history 👀

At Umeshuya, we collaborate with traditional breweries who are passionate about sake making. We develop our own blends of umeshu and other fruits liqueurs using the finest ingredients and hand-made methods. As such, only small quantities of high-quality drinks are available each year.
