The Umi Teether is intentional in its design.

Every detail has been well thought out out and tested to ensure it is safe, sustainable and functional.

I chose the braid design because the layered fabric acts as a soft cushion for you baby’s gums. The fabric itself is hospital grade antibacterial therefore eliminating the risk of your little one transferring bacterial between the fabric and their mouth.

Other fabrics such a as cotton have no antibacterial properties, so when the fabric is moist it can become a breeding ground for bacteria and mildew.

The dyes used are sustainable and non-toxic.

I created a product that I would feel comfortable and confident giving my own child, because as a mother I know how important it is to have products that give us peace of mind.

Our little ones are practically glued to our hips for at least the first year ☺️. Which means we acquire a new level of multitasking.

Whether we are breastfeeding and hoovering at the same time, carrying baby as we tidy up, or entertaining them as we clean the kitchen. We can do it all!

As parents we just want to see our little ones happy and healthy, and the teething process can really tug at our hearts. It isn’t easy watching our little ones in pain.

So to give them something to chew on seems simple enough. But that decision alone can raise som concerns. What should we let them put in their mouth?
