A single silver sabaton, and a glistening gilded gauntlet.

These are details from The Celestial Steed design. I adored the elegant and ethereal bodily gestures I found within Italian renaissance paintings; the balletic curve of a bare arched foot, or the delicate pinching of fingers proffering a single carnation.

The Medici family held a cold and steely power at their height; unyielding and merciless, yet masked by fanciful parades and grand gestures. I have used these gracefully positioned, yet impenetrable armorial elements to symbolise this dichotomy.

This design was inspired by Orso, the unrecognised equestrian star of the famous jousting tournament held by Lorenzo di Medici in 1469.

Celebrating The Odyssey: Honouring Argos

A tribute to the faithful and tragic dog of Odysseus in the Homeric epic.

With the release of The Odyssey in cinemas last month, many people have been touched by the poignant reunion between heroic Odysseus and his loyal hound, Argos.

This moment sits at the heart of my Mýthos collection. Rooted in Ancient Greek mythology, and celebrating animal heroes, the collection features Honouring Argos, a design celebrating and paying tribute to the faithful protagonist.

Below, an excerpt concerning Argos from my Mýthos collection texts, which I penned in an epithetic, Homeric style:

As rosy-fingered dawn appears, amber-eyed Argos lays, quiet as a new-born fawn, in the Ithacan Garden of his master, resourceful Odysseus, awaiting his final command. So, he rests beneath a clay plaque celebrating the famous canines of Greek lore, and heavenly Aphrodite enrobes him in a lustrous draped himation and a beaten silver wreath to crown his head. And he is bestowed a collar of the finest clay, delicately painted with images of divine birds, and a wreath of fine narcissus is laid upon him.

The Glass Swan Silk Kaftan.

This loose Silk Kaftan is made in London from our dusky Crepe-de-Chine, finished with French seams and a delicate pin hem. The side seams are discretely sewn between the wrist and the knee, and there is a single mother-of-pearl button fastening a keyhole neckline.

The Wind Horse: Limited Edition (sold out).

Despite having sold out (in just an hour!), I would
still love to share the final few images of our latest Limited Edition release, The Wind Horse, as each edition takes very careful consideration, attention, and care to create.

The scarf was printed on our medium-weight, beautifully soft wool and silk blend fabric, with a delicate hand-fringe. It was then packaged in a bespoke, embossed box with a hand-numbered collector’s card and dust bag accompanying each one.

Although this piece has now sold out, The Wind Horse design is still available in two full-colour variations on our website, across a variety of sizes and fabrications.

Limited Edition Collector’s Scarf (Sold Out)

Yesterday, we launched a limited edition scarf featuring my original pencil illustration, The Wind Horse. Early access was offered to our newsletter audience, and I was incredibly moved to see all 50 pieces sell out in record time, prior to the public launch. I am deeply grateful to everyone who secured one and I am sorry to anyone who missed out this time.

As many of you will know, there is a huge amount of research that goes into the design of each collection. The Wind Horse is from A Tale of Tibet, a work intended as a celebration of the rich, multi-faceted and endlessly beautiful art and culture of Tibet.

This collection is particularly special to me, as several influential and revered members of the Tibetan community kindly and generously shared their knowledge, advice, and time with me, which had a huge impact on the final designs. Each illustration is a culmination of my research combined with my own imagination, having been deeply and profoundly inspired by my studies.

Synchronously, it is a Tibetan custom to offer a khata (ཁ་བཏགས།) or ‘greeting scarf’ to friends, relatives or guests as a welcome gift or a wish of happiness.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased this years’ edition. Your support means everything.
