Trying to bring Polish posters back to life feels important on a completely new level these days … just never thought I would be living in a world where books are being destroyed.

* Poster designed in 1963 by Alina Kalczynska-Schewiller to promote the Mazowsze Folk Song and Dance Ensemble (Zespol Ludowy Piesni i Tanca Mazowsze).

Back in stock! Designed in 1967 by Wiktor Górka, this iconic Polish poster is probably one of the most recognisable pieces from the Polish School of Posters.

Wiktor Górka (1930-2004) worked with the biggest publishers and film distributors and created around 300 posters during his career as a graphic designer. His other famous poster design was for the cult film ‘Cabaret’ starring Liza Minelli.

Interestingly Górka went to Havana to run design workshops and then to Mexico where he worked as a teacher and an artist. In 2000 he received an award for his contribution in developing graphic arts in Mexico (Medalla a la Excelencia José Guadalupe Posada).

Poster no 900 is now online ✨.

Rounded it up with the O N L Y fully authorised reproduction of the 1980s ‘Apocalypse Now’ poster by Waldemar Swierzy.

Here’s to another at least 600 I need to photograph and upload 🫠.

This is one of those absolutely sensational Polish posters I discovered back in 2019 and I have loved it ever since. Designed in 1967 by the legend of the Polish School of Posters Waldemar Swierzy for an opera ‘Sunday in Rome’ it’s finally back in stock.

Grab it whilst you can 🫶🏻.
