Well… am I doing it right?! 🤗

I can’t believe I forgot to share this unboxing of the Tempest Blue Metal Streamline hooks that I got from 😍😍😍 they’re such a dream to work with as always.

What I really love about these are how comfy they are and with the weight that these have they really help to alleviate some of the pain that I get in my hands & wrists due to my HSD (Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder) as well as taking regular breaks and stretching of course.

What type of crochet hook do you prefer to use? 👇🏼

Wearing: The Resting Stitch Face Top and The Peekabow Bow Clips, patterns can be found on Etsy&Ravelry

Yarn: 24/7 cotton

Hooks: Tempest Blue Streamline in sizes 3.5mm, 4.5mm & 5.5mm

How many WIPs is too many… asking for a friend? 🙃🤗 Happy WIP Wednesday!

I finally used up some of the gorgeous Shiny Happy Cotton that I unboxed a while back (linked in this reel) for this Yarnivore Top and I absolutely adore it. Especially because this version used the shell sleeve option 🤗

I’ve since made another top design (sharing soon) and I’m currently working on one more project using the same yarn… oops. 🤗🙃

The Yarnivore Top pattern — which is fully customisable, made to measure (with sized instructions for those who prefer them) — was released last week and is still 20% off until Friday, no code needed — comment YARNIVORE for the links straight to your inbox.

What are you crocheting this WIP Wednesday?

Hook: Streamline Metal Onyx

The Yarnivore Top is LIVE 🧶

Made for the people who buy yarn with no plan, think about projects before they sleep and somehow always convinces themselves that they do NEED that extra skein of yarn. 🫠🤗🙃

The Yarnivore Top is currently 20% off to celebrate its release no code needed — you can comment YARNIVORE to get the link straight to your DMs or you find the shop links in my bio.

The pattern is written as a made to measure pattern that also includes sized options, along with options for different straps, a closed or lace-up back and plenty of room to customise — so every version really does feel personal.

Seeing this top worn by my testers has been such a reminder of why I love crochet — same pattern, totally different personalities stitched into it.

Thank you so much gang — .sisters &
for helping me bring this one to life 🫶🏼

Comment YARNIVORE and I can send over the link or you can find it in my bio.

Tried .drinks for the first time today and honestly… I wasn’t expecting to like it this much 😂🍒🍋 I got to try one of their newest flavours — cherry lemon — and oooo it’s giving zesty, tartness and a hint of sweetness too 🤗🍒🍋

I had it next to me while I was crocheting (because of course I can’t just sit without a hook in my hand) and finishing up a test pattern for — and it slotted so perfectly into my little making moment.

Also… the stickers?? My inner child was LIVING. I decorated the can a little and I’m saving the rest for my iPad because I already have a whole sticker stash and this just fed into the obsession perfectly 😭💖

Sip, stitch, repeat is basically my entire personality at this point — between testing, designing and making Christmas gifts — and this flavour made it even more of a vibe 🧶✨

Have you tried Trip before? I’ve got a few more flavours to test and I’ll share those soon!

Pattern: The Astra Dress from the new 3 in 1 pattern, from coming soon

Hook: .europe Ergonomic Crochet Hook
Yarn: Cotton Kings Sultan

Wearing: The Hood and Shoulders Pocket Shawl and Peekabow Bow Clips available on Ravelry and Etsy using Special Chunky

Our Story

Hello! My name is Shannon-Jaide, I’m the lone maker behind TWFC. I believe strongly in the phrase ‘every cloud has a silver lining’ and living by this quote is how I ended up doing what I do now. Back in 2015 I had to undergo an operation and suffered complications leaving me unable to return back to work as a nursery teacher. Whilst shopping in the supermarket, i spotted a ‘Knit and crochet’ magazine, and thought ‘why not try it?’ so i picked it up, got home and began trying to figure it out. At first, I couldn’t get the hang of it, but with being so determined, I took to the Internet to see if I could find some videos or instructions on how to see and do certain stitches. Fast forward a few weeks and a few basic projects down the line, I began making scarves at every opportunity, I then discovered that I could create bows to match the scarfs and paired one with every outfit, my confidence grew within the fibre arts when a work colleague mentioned I should create an Instagram page and start selling my creations, so in April 2017 that is what I did. Since then I have had many orders, happy customers and growing friendships within the fibre arts community from all over the world. I’m now a chronic pain, hypermobility&fibromylgia sufferer and have recently had to give up work completely due to my health but still find happiness, passion and pride when crocheting and creating the pieces you see before you.
